This is a full-flavoured, medium body red wine featuring notes of jammy dark fruit layered with hints of black spice. It is a great complement to barbequed meals, steak, chicken, tomato-based pasta dishes and pizza.
Tasting note: The 2017 Cissac has a well defined bouquet with blackberry, cedar, brown spices and a touch of leather, some new oak (30%) needing a few months to fully integrate. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and good grip. A saline finish urges you back for another sip. This is a commendable Cissac that makes the most of the vintage. Recommended as it is often a great value.ABV: 13% Country: France Type: Red wine Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon |

fruity and juicy wine that, as always, rests in French and American oak barrels for a slightly period of six months. The spicy notes are harmoniously assembled with ripe red fruit aromas to offer an elegant and subtle toast on the nose. The identity seal of this iconic brand for Bodegas Castaño is still present in this wine, the origin of the grapes from organic vineyards and the distinctive stamp that accredits on its label, do provide added value to this organic wine without losing its personality.
Tasting note: This wine is a blend of 2 varietals which are the Cabernet-Sauvignon and the Merlot. In the mouth this red wine is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. This wine generally goes well with poultry, beef or game (deer, venison).ABV: 13% Country: France Type: Red wine Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot |
