Honest, unpainted, on an increased fortress, unfiltered. What else do you want for the money? The bite of young alcohols is certainly felt, but the concept of whisky is not about that. Quite a drink, nice. And in its price segment it is quite difficult to find a more worthy straight-line smoke box.Nose Open, understandable, at least a little flat, but very honest. Extinguished fire, smoke, nuances of medical motives, a little alcoholic, vanilla, caramel, lemons, yellow apples. Taste Sweet with a pleasant astringency, the degree of a good bite for the tongue, flat, straightforward. Smoke, zest of lemons, caramel, vanilla, the nuances of the Duchess drink. Finish Short, quickly fading, due to the fact that the smoky seems more complex than it really is, in the distance is bitterness. Smoke, astringency, burnt branches, malt, vanilla, caramel. |
Herradura Plata owes its distinctly sweet taste of agave and subtle oak notes to resting for an impressive 45 days beyond the industry standard in American White Oak barrels. The prolonged aging process creates a light straw color with a unique, robust aroma of cooked agave, vanilla and wood that leaves your mouth feeling smooth and refreshed.
Nose: Quite full. There are notes of honey and wax, resin and oak. There are notes of gentle smoke and cacao, hints of cooked fruit and a nutty note.
Palate: Sweet and rich. There are crisp notes of mixed peels, raisin and custard with a little zest and plenty of oak. Finish: Long with notes of oak and cocoa and sherried peels. ABV: 43% |
