| MΓ©doc wines tend to be ruby in color, balanced and well-rounded on the palate with notes of cassis, cherries and earth, with firm tannins.
While most Bordeaux wines require aging, those labeled simply ‘MΓ©doc’ tend to be lighter in style and more approachable in their youth. Grown on gravel rich soils in the Left Bank of Bordeaux, wines from the MΓ©doc are predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blends, but sometimes see the addition of Petit Verdot and Malbec. |
Cabernet Sauvignon is vibrant, velvety and rich and best enjoyed whilst young. Flavour Classic and velvety, with notes of juicy blackcurrants, sweet mocha and spice.
