-
Nutty sherry, red berries, raisins, but still fruity added notes, spices, sandalwood, the Bladnoch is clearly recognizable, beautiful harmony between sherry and fresh Lowland style.
-
first sweet, sherry, marginal sulfur, then tart oak notes, with a subtle fruity acidity and light citrus notes. Strong and intense, angular but complex.
-
Clear sherry, sweet and spicy, more nutty, the oak is more sweet than the tart, it only gets drier towards the end, but it can also be the Bladnoch gene. Amazingly cute at the end, but still sufficiently edgy and defined.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Espresso beans, subtle salinity, a whiff of melted butter and cocoa.
Palate: Raisins, prunes, dried cherries and a drizzle of honey. Cigar box and another helping of espresso.
Finish: Softly sweet on the finish with orchard fruit.

Some red pepper provides an interesting point to mull.Palate: Very sensual, disarmingly sleek and creamy. Black cherry and sweet spices, some cereal notes.Finish: Very warm and spiced, toasty, some oak and milk chocolate.ABV : 43% Country : Scotland Type : Blended Malt Scotch Whisky |

COLOUR: Golden amber. When you at first open the bottle, sherry and toffee notes float up. The Ballantine’s 17yo makes long thick oily fingers in the glass. NOSE: After the initial sherry sweetness, the nose brings notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and banana. There are hints of oak and cereal at the back. The nose is complex, luxurious and creamy. PALATE: The Ballantine’s 17yo is incredibly smooth. The palate brings notes of creamy oak and spice. There are hints of vanilla sweetness balanced with little bits of smoke. It is a complex whisky that reminds us of liquid gold. Drinking this Ballantine’s 17yo is an amazing experience. FINISH: Long and lingering with fruit and hints of sweetness, oak and spice at the end. This blended whisky is impressive. |

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Caramel, shortbread, biscuits, coffee and chocolates. Simple, clean and moreish.
Palate: Yet more toffee, caramel edging towards the burnt cinder-toffee side of things. Flamed orange-zest, and perfectly integrated sherry.
Finish: Reasonably simple, Christingles (orange Zest and clove with a touch of cinnamon), more mid-palate than palate-coating.
Overall: Definitely meets the criteria of pairing with a ‘BIG’ cigar.
Honest, unpainted, on an increased fortress, unfiltered. What else do you want for the money? The bite of young alcohols is certainly felt, but the concept of whisky is not about that. Quite a drink, nice. And in its price segment it is quite difficult to find a more worthy straight-line smoke box.Nose Open, understandable, at least a little flat, but very honest. Extinguished fire, smoke, nuances of medical motives, a little alcoholic, vanilla, caramel, lemons, yellow apples. Taste Sweet with a pleasant astringency, the degree of a good bite for the tongue, flat, straightforward. Smoke, zest of lemons, caramel, vanilla, the nuances of the Duchess drink. Finish Short, quickly fading, due to the fact that the smoky seems more complex than it really is, in the distance is bitterness. Smoke, astringency, burnt branches, malt, vanilla, caramel. |
