Nikka Session Japanese Whisky

Nikka Session comes in a stunning matte blue bottle, with flowing Japanese artwork and the title “Session”. A world blended whisky that was created from spirit produced at the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, masterfully blended together with whisky from Scotland’s famous Ben Nevis distillery. As Nikka’s first world blended whisky, a marriage of spirit from Japan and Scotland, 100 years on from the marriage of Nikka founder Mastataka Taketsuru, and his beloved Scottish wife, Rita Cowan.

Nose: A rich, colorful basket of fruit with apples, pineapples, pears and blackcurrant, A helping of leafy mint happening as well.
Palate: Those fruits have dried up! Also get peppercorn later on. And healthy serving of woody malt.
Finish: That malt wave brings plenty of bitterness with it. Slightly peaty to finish things off.
