BRUGAL 1888
With notes of vanilla, red fruits and toffee intertwined with cocoa and natural oak spice Brugal 1888 is a wonderfully inviting spirit that is smooth, full of flavour and perfectly balanced. ABV : 40% |
Appearance: Crystal clear.
Aroma: Superbly clean, zesty lemon and lemon meringue pie with subtle eucalyptus. Taste: Clean, fresh and zippy. Zesty lemon with a slight bitter note, as one might expect from lemons. Aftertaste: Clean, fresh lemon with slightly bitter zesty lemony bite. Overall: Pungent aroma and assertive palate with full-on zesty lemon. ABV: 40% |
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Espresso beans, subtle salinity, a whiff of melted butter and cocoa.
Palate: Raisins, prunes, dried cherries and a drizzle of honey. Cigar box and another helping of espresso.
Finish: Softly sweet on the finish with orchard fruit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Caramel, shortbread, biscuits, coffee and chocolates. Simple, clean and moreish.
Palate: Yet more toffee, caramel edging towards the burnt cinder-toffee side of things. Flamed orange-zest, and perfectly integrated sherry.
Finish: Reasonably simple, Christingles (orange Zest and clove with a touch of cinnamon), more mid-palate than palate-coating.
Overall: Definitely meets the criteria of pairing with a ‘BIG’ cigar.
